The Quarterly State of Arcadia Electrical Company

Jumping into Summer 2019
Happy post-Fourth of July! We hope that you and your families had a happy Independence Day weekend. As we segue into summer 2019, the State of Arcadia Electrical Company is still booming. From cooling down, to lighting up New York, summer promises to be an exciting time for us. To that note, we are thrilled to share with you a variety of new projects that Arcadia Electrical is currently spearheading, as well as ongoing projects that are nearing completion. We hope that you enjoy this Quarter’s President’s Message!

Electrical Project Diversification
At Arcadia Electrical, we firmly believe that the success of our company and the personal growth of our labor force is through the diversification of our projects, from large-scale electrical installations to the finite details needed to complete such projects. Over this last quarter, we have been very involved in numerous electrical construction projects that are testament to our expertise and ability to provide the best in quality of service. Of our many projects, we would like to highlight a few key status updates with you.

Baruch College
Arcadia Electrical is providing new electrical upgrades to Baruch College’s Lawrence and Eris Field Building (17 Lexington Ave. New York City). Built in 1928, this 16-story, 285,000 square ft. building will undergo a full Gut Renovation as well as an Occupied Renovation. This multi-phased project (valued at $151 Million) will include a 15,000 Square Ft. addition, new electrical, power, lighting, fire alarm, telecommunications and security systems. The end-result will be a modern, state-of-the-art educational facility with an anticipated completion is Summer of 2020.

Greenpoint Public Library
As part of an 18-month-long contract with the Brooklyn Public Library and a multi-million dollar grant from the Greenpoint Community Environmental Fund, NY State Education Department and Library and City capital funding., Arcadia Electrical has been busy powering up the new 18,000 square state-of-the-art Greenpoint Library and Environmental Educational Center (107 Norman Ave., Brooklyn, NY). Electrical installations include a robust security and fire alarm system  and an intricate Tele Data technology platform. LED lighting is also being placed throughout the building as well as a new Lutron Control Lighting system. Such green design features make the building more sustainable while exceeding LEED Green Building Certification requirements.

Brooklyn Sports Club
Brooklyn Sports Club commissioned Arcadia Electrical to revitalize key sections of the sports club, that required the technical expertise only a reputable and experienced electrical company could provide. Arcadia has been heavily involved in the overall  grounding of the 25-meter indoor lap swimming pool as well as the swimming pool facility surroundings. Installations include pool lighting, ceiling lights, Wall Sconces and electric motor shade operations that enable surrounding glass windows to open with a click of a button. Additionally, the Martial Arts and Boxing facility have also received a cooling boost with new mechanical feeds to Air Conditioning units, helping keep the club’s athletes cool and comfortable.

Pre K 444M and 3K 90 Center
The Road to Success Starts Here!! It is the time to turn your curious child into an active, interested student who looks forward to going to school. A love of learning that begins in Pre-K starts your child on a journey that leads to success in high school and beyond. Some accept children as young as three years old. Half and Full time programs, as well as before and after school care are offered at these facilities.

In January, Arcadia Electrical was awarded two projects: a complete renovation to Pre K 444M (606 West 57th St. New York City) and additional renovations 3K 90 Center (1535 Richmond Ave. Staten Island, NY).  Arcadia Electrical provided Pre K 444M a complete renovation for the 10,000 square ft. educational facility, which is designed to hold 72 seats for new students, was completed in June 2019. Renovations to 3K 90’s 40,000 square ft. Center were made to fill 225 seats for new students and will be completed by August 1. We are proud to report that we are not only meeting strict deadlines, but also exceeded expectations.
